Cottage In The City // Georgian Bay Spirit Vodka Smash Launch by Sean Berrigan

Have you ever seen a canoe floating in an infinity pool on a rooftop in Toronto? Last Tuesday, we had the opportunity to go to one of my client's launch parties and this canoe was there. Georgian Bay Spirit Co invited us to the launch party for their new Vodka Smash mixed drink, which is now available at most LCBO locations.

After releasing their insanely popular Gin Smash, the Vodka Smash is the fourth product in the company's portfolio. They invited friends, industry people and a ton of Canadian influencers to try out the Vodka Smash and other delicious cocktails over a beautiful fire and even better summer inspired munchies (Lots of PEI Oysters to go around). There was a very informative tasting with Owen from El Rey, where he explained in detail what you're tasting and smelling when tasting these products, as well as how to properly taste spirits, among other tid-bits on cocktail craftsmanship.

XMAS Eve Coffee Run in Quebec by Sean Berrigan

This will be the second year in a row I haven't been back home to PEI for the holidays but this is also the second year i've spent christmas in Quebec and been fortunate enough to spend it with my 2nd family. We woke up today on Xmas eve and decided to go for a quick coffee run to this new coffee boutique in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu called Autour de la Table which we've been meaning to come to for awhile now. We brought a superb Brennan Michael candle with us and lit that thing off and had a great chat with the owner. We had a last minute stop to the grocery store to grab our xmas eve dinner ingredients which we'll have some photos up from that up on the blog soon. Happy Holidays Folks!

Bastid's Collective Arts Brewery Roadtrip by Sean Berrigan

It's pretty comforting to be in a school bus full of east coasters sipping road beers headed to the Collective Arts Brewery in Hamilton. Skratch Bastid was performing at the brewery for the 'Series Six Bash In The Brewery' along side The Darcy's and Grand Analog. I think we can all say we had a great night and a very hazy ride back to Toronto. If you're not familiar with Collective Arts, they're a wicked craft brewery located in Hamilton, Ontario that is dedicated to promoting emerging artists and musicians. If you're an IPA lover go get yourself some Rhyme & Reason!
